poem

A Boy in Orange Islands

by Ayne Greensleeves

And the waves they wash your shore.
And the winds refresh your land.
All the birds that sing above
they know life is in their hand.

Once upon a time, right here,
a boy wanted to see the world.
An amazing fantasy
with so many dreams to hold.

And the waves they carry him
from isle to isle... By the moon,
cradled by a gentle dream,
you will reach your goal so soon.

And the clouds they run so sweet.
Adventure is in your hands.
Lucky chance for us to meet
a boy in Orange Islands.

As the sun and moon will rise
up and down for day and night,
having friends will make you wise,
having friends will give you might.

Bluish-green depths of the sea,
clear blue skies and golden sands...
A paradise, a palmtree,
a boy in Orange Islands.

Your footsteps will trace the road
to the league of dreaming hearts.
A wonder over seafoam
where evil won't play its darts!

And the waves they wash your shore,
and the winds refresh the lands
that saw dream, walk and grow strong
a boy in Orange Islands.
